We prioritize adherence to state regulations concerning immunization records for your child at Blue Kangaroo Learning Center. It is mandatory for all enrolled children to provide current immunization records BEFORE their start date. Additionally, a well child statement is required within 14 days of their start date. A well child statement is a document issued by a healthcare provider that confirms a child’s overall health status. It typically includes information regarding the child’s growth, development, and any specific health concerns or conditions. This statement serves as an assurance that the child is in good health and is fit to participate in activities within an educational setting.
Parents will be duly notified about upcoming immunizations that are due. It remains the parent’s responsibility to arrange a doctor’s appointment for their child when immunizations are pending. Please note that appointments scheduled after the due date will necessitate a doctor’s note confirming the immunization appointment. Children who do not possess up-to-date immunization certificates within 30 days of being due will not be permitted to attend school until the necessary documentation is received by our office.
Medical Exemptions: If a medical exemption is required, there is a Medical Exemption form that must be completed by your pediatrician before your child’s start date.
Religious Exemptions: For families seeking a religious exemption, a form must be completed by the parent before your child’s start date. This form acknowledges the religious beliefs that guide your decision regarding immunizations.
Personal Belongings: To prevent any confusion, kindly label all personal belongings such as extra clothes, jackets, water bottles and lunch boxes. Infant bottles and food containers must also be labeled.
Extra Clothes: Daily, your child will participate in engaging, hands-on learning activities. It’s best for children to wear practical, washable, and comfortable clothes suitable for play. Please ensure your child has at least two sets of seasonally appropriate clothes. In case of unforeseen accidents and a lack of spare clothing, we’ll promptly contact parents for a change of clothes or arrange for pickup. Please note that Blue Kangaroo Learning Center is not responsible for any damage, spills, or wear and tear on personal items.
Shoes: for safety purposes, children should wear comfortable, sturdy, hard sole shoes. These types of shoes provide better support and protection during our varies activities.
Items from Home: To maintain a focused learning environment, we request that children refrain from bringing toys to the center. We have a variety of activities for them to enjoy. Additionally, weapons or handheld games are strictly prohibited on school premises. Blue Kangaroo Learning Center cannot assume responsibility for any personal items brought from home. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Diapers and Wipes: For children still in diapers, please ensure an adequate supply of diapers to last throughout the week. Diapers are changed every two hours, unless otherwise required, and with each change, wipes are used to clean the diaper area, wash the infant’s face, and hands. This practice is in accordance with licensing regulations for the safety and hygiene of children.
The safety and well-being of every child in our program is our utmost priority. To ensure a secure and supportive environment, we abide by the following guidelines concerning custody arrangements and legal matters.
- Documentation of Custody Arrangements: Parents or legal guardians are requested to provide official and updated copies of court-ordered custody agreements, parenting plans, or restraining orders related to the enrolled child. These documents are vital for us to maintain a secure and informed environment for your child’s care.
- Legal Compliance: Our center operates strictly in compliance with provided legal documents concerning custody, visitation rights, restraining orders, or any relevant legal restrictions. Prompt communication about changes or modifications in custody arrangements is essential for us to ensure the safety and well-being of the child.
- Impartiality and Parental Disputes: Blue Kangaroo Learning Center remains impartial in parental disagreements. We aim to fulfill our obligations neutrally and professionally. Access to the child will only be denied to a parent with proper documentation as required by law.
This Custody Agreement section is designed to ensure a supportive and secure environment for every child in our care while respecting legal boundaries and prioritizing their best interests. Should any changes occur in custody arrangements, timely communication with our administration is crucial for continued compliance and the child’s well-being.
